ClearDrop Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how ClearDrop handles your information when you use the app on iPhone, Apple Watch, and widgets.

Important: I (the developer) do not collect, receive, store on my servers, or view your hydration, caffeine, alcohol, or Apple Health data.

1. Information We Collect

ClearDrop is local-first and ad-free. By default, your data stays on your device.

• Drink and tracking data (water, caffeine, alcohol, goals, reminders, settings) is stored locally on your device.
• Apple Health data is used only if you grant permission, and remains within Apple Health and your device context.
• Support request details are only received if you voluntarily email support.

I do not include third-party ads, and I do not receive your in-app tracking data.

2. How We Use Information

• Your device uses your data to provide hydration/caffeine/alcohol tracking features.
• Your device syncs with Apple Health only when enabled by you.
• Your device uses your settings for reminders and widgets.
• I only use information you send directly by email to respond to support requests.

3. Apple Health and Permissions

Health data access is controlled by Apple Health permissions and can be changed at any time in iOS Health settings.

• If permission is denied, ClearDrop remains usable with local logging.
• When enabled, ClearDrop may read/write hydration, caffeine, and alcohol samples to support your tracking workflow.

4. Data Storage and Retention

• Your app data is stored on-device (and app-group shared components used by app/widget/watch).
• I do not operate a backend database for your ClearDrop health/tracking data.
• You can edit or delete entries in the app.
• You can export your data to CSV from Settings.

5. Data Sharing

I do not sell or share your personal data with advertisers or data brokers. Your app/health data is not sent to me. Data sharing occurs only through platform features you enable (for example, Apple Health integration on your device).

6. Children’s Privacy

ClearDrop is not directed to children under 13. If you believe data from a child was provided, contact us and we will address the request.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy over time. Updates will be reflected by changing the Effective Date on this page.
